2012 Mini Cooper Review
Also known as the mini powerhouse, The new 2012 mini cooper engined by a monstrously supercharged 1.6 liter transverse 4 cylinder. While others may choose to go with an 8 cylinder engine, the 2012 Mini Cooper is all about getting the most out of it’s small size. This is why the standard engine comes with a whopping 115 horsepower that turns at 6,000 revolutions per minute with 110 pounds of torque per foot at 4,500 rpm.
The other version, the 2012 Mini Cooper S is an expertly engineered by a 4 cylinder transverse supercharged engine. While this seems similar to the standard model, the Cooper 2012 S model delivers a blistering 163 horsepower at 6,000 rpm. The S model doesn’t stop there as it delivers 155 pounds of torque per foot at 4,000 rpm. When running flat out, the 2012 Mini Cooper has a top speed of 124 miles per hour. Not only does the new Cooper go faster than some of its competitors but it gets there faster as well. The 2012 Cooper blasts from zero to sixty in only nine seconds! wow!
Just boast about power doesn’t enough, Cooper also added a whole range of both active and passive safety features. On the active side, the 2012 Cooper comes with anti-lock brakes on all four wheels to guarantee that it will stop when you need it to. While steering such a powerful car might have been a problem in the past, the new Coopers come with an electro-hydraulic power assisted steering system that will have it maneuvering as if it were a part of you. On the passive side of things we see a high tech new crash sensor system which can activate all six standard airbags. That’s why, the 2012 Mini Cooper got a four star rating with the Transportation and Safety Administration and even a “Best Pick” award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety
