Aston Martin Racing Division has launched a blanket of newly created brand new GT3 racing gazebo, which will be ready for competition in 2012. “The GT3 DBRS9 has been running very successfully and although more than six years, is still competitive today,” said John Gaw, Aston Martin Racing general manager. “However, competition has evolved and need to create a car that combines the expertise of our six years in this category with the latest racing technology to the continued success of Aston Martin GT3 for many years to come.”

Aston Martin Vantage GT3 is still under development and the company has set a target weight of 1250kg (2756 pounds) and engine performance target over 600bhp and 700Nm. The car was completed in July 2011 and carried out extensive testing and development during the rest of the year. Aston Martin will build the first tranche of 10 vehicles to customers in early 2012.
